Frear
Park
is a 247-acre 18-hole public golf course and hockey arena amongst other
features. It began as a 9-hole course in 1931 and later was expanded to
18 holes in 1964.Currently the course provides over 46,000 rounds of
golf annually.
The
Rensselaer County Men's Golf Tournament is an annual tournament held
around Labor Day each fall. It started in the 1940s and continues to
draw many participants each year. More recently added was the Mayor's
Cup which is held in late August.

a hard game to figure. One day you'll go out and slice it and shank it,
hit into all the traps and miss every green. The next day you go out and
